This past weekend, Senior High Area All State students had the opportunity to work with well-known conductors from across the state. The students involved rehearsed for approximately 12 hours over the course of 2 days with students from 40 schools in the Southern Tier, with a culminating concert on Saturday afternoon at Bath Haverling High School. Congratulation to the after-school program kids who entered the Young Artists Monster Madness national drawing contest! Every one of their entries was chosen to be published in the Monster Madness book, which will be printed in January. Each student received a certificate and sticker. CRE will receive a book for the school at the end of January/beginning of February. Congratulations everyone! A national grand winner and winning school will be chosen in January for the grand prize of featured book cover artwork and a prize for the school. Good luck after-school kids! Mr. Beck’s classroom, kicked off the 1st Annual Ramen Day, and it was an unforgettable experience! After wrapping up their chemistry unit in the kitchen, the students transformed into culinary engineers, crafting their own fabulous Ramen bowls. They eagerly selected their broth solutions, choosing everything from classic chicken and beef to adventurous options like venison and sardines. Some daring students even threw gummy bears into their creations for a surprising twist! After tasting their unique masterpieces, they had the chance to refine their dishes using the engineering design process. It was a day of creativity, flavor, and a whole lot of fun! #mycrcs

The CRE After-School Program students made cards for veterans to honor them on Veterans Day. Cards were handed out at the Ringing of the Bells ceremony at the Cuba First Baptist Church. Cards were also sent to veterans in New Jersey, Virginia, Florida, and New York. Thank you, veterans! #mycrcs

Today, Mrs. Anderson and Mrs. Morris's class held an election where students voted on their favorite treat for the teachers to bring in (cupcakes, muffins, or cookies). Each student received a voter registration card to that they had to show. Then, after voting, they colored their own "I voted" stickers. The winning treat..... CUPCAKES! #mycrcs
This past weekend, 12 students from CRCS were selected to participate in NYSSMA Zone 15 Jr. High Area All State Mixed Choir or Concert Band. In order to be selected for these highly competitive ensembles, students were adjudicated at a state NYSSMA festival last spring and received scores based on their performance. Under the direction of well known conductors, students practiced and performed with top student musicians from approximately 40 schools across the Southern Tier. We are very proud of their hard work and accomplishments! #mycrcs
