Meal Charge Policy
I. Purpose
The goal of the Cuba-Rushford Central School District is to provide student access to nutritious free meals each school day.
The purpose of this policy is to insure compliance with federal requirements for the USDA Child Nutrition Program.
Charging of items outside of the reimbursable meals (a la carte items, adult meals, etc.) is expressly prohibited. The provisions of this policy pertain to Ala Carte sales and snacks only. These sales include second breakfasts and lunches, breakfast and lunch entrees, other extra breakfast and lunch components, and ala carte sales (ice cream, cookies, drinks etc...) The Cuba- Rushford Central School District provides this policy as a courtesy to those students in the event that they want to purchase something other than the reimbursable meal. Charging of items outside of the reimbursable meals as detailed below (a la carte items, adult meals, etc.) is expressly prohibited.
